And much more.
Current Beneficiaries
According to the current survey, about 9.3 million women are enrolled in the BISP program. In this sense, BISP is a great program helping so many needy women. The BISP skills training program is also an initiative from the government of Punjab that can benefit these women in the long run.
Expansion Plans
BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid has decided to expand it further and has included the BISP skills training program. This training program has been introduced as the Waseela Rozgar Initiative. The purpose of this training program is to give special training to women only, through which they can participate in many types of job opportunities using these skills.
Key Features of the BISP Skills Training Program
The BISP training program has many features that help empower women. A few of them are given below.
Objectives
BISP officials want all the beneficiary women to have some marketing skills. Using these marketing skills, they generate a lot of money to support their families. As we all know, marketing is one of the most famous skills these days. So, after getting this skill, they have many job opportunities in different fields of life.
Waseela Rozgar Initiative
The Waseela Rozgar initiative is an extension of the BISP program. This program was introduced just to skill up the women beneficiaries of BISP. Women utilize this program to gain marketing, digital, and other skills that help them a lot in practical life.
Transparency and Integrity
As we all know, BISP is one of the most popular and big initiatives of the government of Pakistan for the poor and needy. So, transparency and integrity are very important for it. All the funds of BISP are withdrawn after the biometric verification of beneficiaries. So, this transparency is proof that the real beneficiary is getting the payment.
Data Updates
As we all know, many people register as beneficiaries of BISP. So, after every two years, they conduct a survey program to check the PMT score of the beneficiaries. The people above the PMT score criteria are excluded from the program. The reason behind this survey is to give a chance to needy people who have yet to enter this program.
Conclusion
The main objective of introducing the BISP Skills Training Program is only to empower women. With the help of this program, women can learn marketing and earn some money at home to support their families. BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid started this to empower the beneficiaries of women.
BISP tries hard to overcome poverty in Pakistan, so it introduces new programs like the Skills Training Program and much more. As we know, it updates its program every two years, so Beneficiaries need to keep themselves up to date. Thus, they will continue to connect with the program for a long time and benefit from it.
If they do not do so and do not include themselves in the survey every two years, they will be dropped from the program and will no longer be able to get benefits from this.
